Foster Care Open House & Youth Panel

posted 3/16/26 -- Have you ever considered becoming a foster parent or wondered what the process involves? Join us on Tuesday, April 7th from 6-8pm at Lorain County Community College Wellington Learning Center, 151 Commerce Dr., Wellington, OH 44090, to learn more about how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

During this event, you will have the opportunity to meet members of our foster care team, learn about the application and licensing process, and ask questions in a welcoming and informal setting. Whether you are just beginning to explore the idea or are ready to take the next step, this event is a great place to start!

A special part of the evening will feature a youth panel of young adults who have experienced the foster care system. They will share their personal stories, perspectives, and insights about what supportive foster families meant to them during their time in care.

This event is free and open to the public, but RSVP is requested so we can plan refreshments accordingly. RSVP at https://forms.office.com/g/AiwZEEjzqw

We hope you will join us to learn more about foster care and how you can help provide safety, stability, and support for children in our community.
