In partnership with the community, the staff, foster parents and volunteers of Lorain County Children Services are committed to the safety and well-being of abused, neglected, and dependent children and will provide the highest quality protection, permanency, and prevention services for children and families.


2014 Annual Report

posted 4/24/15 -- In 2014, Lorain County Children Services received 4,343 referrals from people in our community who were concerned about a child. Each of those referrals are managed to see if the information being reported should be screened in as suspected child abuse or neglect. Nearly 2,000 of those calls were screened out or the person calling was provided with Information and Referral. 2,156 referrals were screened in as possible child abuse or neglect. Columbia Gas Egg-cellent Staff Donate Easter Baskets

posted 3/20/15 -- Columbia Gas employees hopped by the agency to donate 26 Easter Baskets and several dozen candy bags. Before they finished arranging them on the conference room table, staff had gathered so they could choose a basket for a special child on their caseload. Donations like this are a wonderful way to connect caring adults to children in need and they truly make a difference. Thank you Columbia Gas employees for thinking of our children. Full Story
