Foster Care Open House
Patti-Jo Burtnett, Lorain County Children Services
posted 11/3/16 -- Have you wondered what it would be like to be a foster parent? Have you seen the movies, read the national news and wondered if that is really how foster care works? What about the training and licensing process? And what is it like to care for someone elses child?
All these questions and more will be answered at the November 18 Foster Care Open House hosted by current licensed foster families. These families will share their perspectives on the challenges and rewards, the exciting parts and the boring parts, and let you know that if you are ready to start the process, you will be joining a team of supportive fellow foster parents and caseworkers ready to help you each step of the way.
This is a free event but still requires RSVP for seating purposes. Please call Lorain County Children Services at 440-329-5340 today. Meet your local neighborhood foster parents and learn how you can take the next step to becoming one.
