The classes are offered the parent(s) of newborns and children up to the age of 5 or 6 depending upon the child’s height and weight. Expectant mothers are especially encouraged to come. The charge for the class is based on income eligibility and WIC guidelines. Please Note: There is a fee for the car seat training and it is based on the person’s eligibility to pay. Generally, the health department asks for a donation of $25.00 for each individual car seat provided.
